We were recently invited by Wolff & Müller to visit the construction site of the Murrtal Viaduct near Backnang. The impressive infrastructure project as part of the expansion of the B14 motorway offered participants practical insights into the planning and execution of a challenging bridge construction project.

From 10 to 13 June 2025, the traditional Whitsun excursion once again took place together with the Institutes of Steel Construction and Solid Structures at RPTU Kaiserslautern – this year organized by our institute. A total of 40 students, five research associates, and Professors Danièle Waldmann-Diederich, Christian Glock, and Wolfgang Kurz travelled to the Elbe and Weser rivers, the North and Baltic Seas, and Hamburg during the four-day trip.

As part of the Master's course ‘Prefabricated Structures’, our students were given valuable, practical insights into various areas of precast concrete construction through presentations by external speakers.
