Reinforced concrete structures II
B.Sc.

In the course Reinforced concrete structures II, which is offered to Bachelor students, the knowledge from the course Reinforced concrete structures I is deepened with regard to the design of reinforced concrete structures.

Course language: German | 6 CP | 4 SWS

Term: winter semester

Schedule: Tue. 09:50-11:20 | Thu. 08:10-09:40

Content

The lecture builds on the lecture Reinforced Concrete Structures I. The lecture covers design in accordance with Eurocode 2 (DIN EN 1992-1-1) and the structural design of the most important load-bearing elements in reinforced concrete construction. The lecture content is supplemented by practical examples in the associated exercises.

Topics

  • Global stiffening of structures
  • Design and reinforcement of:
    - Beams and slab beams (incl. torsion design)
    - Slabs (uniaxial, biaxial and point-supported slabs)
    - Wall structures (walls, wall-type beams, stiffening walls, brackets)
    - Columns, frames, stairs
    - Foundations (strip and individual foundations)
  • Documents and structure of a structural design
  • Structural calculations and position plans
  • Formwork plans and structural drawings
  • Reinforcement plans and steel lists
  • Element drawings and installation drawings
