Reinforced concrete structures I
B.Sc.

In the course Reinforced concrete structures I, which is offered to Bachelor students, the basics of the design of reinforced concrete structures are taught.

Course language: German | 3 CP | 2 SWS

Term: summer semester

Schedule: Mon. 09:50-11:20 | Thu. 08:10-09:40

Content

The lecture teaches the fundamentals of the design of reinforced concrete components according to Eurocode 2 (DIN EN 1992-1-1/NA:2011-01) and deals with the special features of reinforced concrete as a building material with regard to the verifications in the ultimate limit state and serviceability limit state as well as the structural design. The lecture content is supplemented by practical examples in the associated exercises.

Topics

  • History and basics of reinforced concrete construction
  • Building materials and durability
  • Safety concept
  • Design in the Ultimate Limit State for bending and shear force
  • Limit states of cracking and deformation
  • Structural design: anchorage length and overlap joints
